JetRadar Reviews-Max Kraynov
Max Kraynov

JetRadar traces its roots back to 2007 by Konstantin Kalinov. He’s an airfare blogger and the idea of searching cheap flights started with an article, after the Russian airfare distribution’s liberalization commenced the operations of selling e-tickets of JetRadar.

However, it took time before they were able to include English as their language for the website. In May 2012, JetRadar made an US-English version of the travel site. Now it is located and headquartered in Phuket, Thailand with over 200 employees and their CEO for 4 years now, Max Kraynov, is a professional affiliate and mobile distributor. He was able to raise $10 million from international investors last year.

The calm blue background of the travel site with cartoonic top destinations worldwide enticed customers to trust their site. Basically, JetRadar is not liable in booking airfare deals, hotel reservations and car rentals but just helps travelers to search for the best rates using some online travel agencies such as TripAdvisor, Cheapoair, ShermansTravel including airlines results with Aer Lingus, WOW air, SAS and Norwegian Air Shuttle results

Now, JetRadar’s country and language option is interchangeable to 13 currencies and 17 languages internationally. The travel site looks more like a Kindle’s features with its menu bar shown at the top right.

JetRadar had already extended their services in mobile application.  The travel app of JetRadar has an overall customer rating of 4 out of 5 and was even considered as one of the best apps used by travelers. The awesome features are similar to its PC version wherein customers can search airfare deals which can be customized and multi currency support. JetRadar also has social media accounts to inspire travelers:

In this review we tried searching for a specific destination to check how Jetradar works, I entered the location from Boston, Massachusetts, USA to Amsterdam, Netherlands; April 4-8 as 1 passenger in economy class.

The result page is not confusing yet easily understandable. The results are arranged by the cheapest deals showing flight duration, airline’s details, prices compared with other airlines and online travel agencies. Results can also be filtered by number of stops, flight price, flight time and other JetRadar alliances.

JetRadar reviews are not easily be found online or anywhere. However one complaint slipped and I was able to learn that JetRadar is one the travel site you shouldn’t be trusting.  The reviewer said “After I reserved through them my flight was cancelled and the airline notified me prior to the travel agency. They added a $10 service fee and wasted my time. There’s not even a single customer service number I can call them. Lesson learned, I would AVOID THEM. They overcharged me and my credit card company will refuse to pay it but this is inexcusable.”

Advice to Revise

It is evidently one of the well designed travel sites, however many customers believed that it was layouted to fool travelers. JetRadar was known to be a fraud or a scam in travel marketing. Maybe if they’ll try to add at least customer service number or contact email. This will lessen the burden of other consumers who are trying to reach them. They should have the courtesy of answering customer’s concerns either positive or negative.
