When we travel, we see plenty of things we can’t buy back home. Maybe you just returned from your first adventure out there somewhere. You might be all fired up now for your next adventure. But for now, you are thinking how to commemorate your trip/s.

Before hitting the road or taking another flight to your next destination, consider how you want to track your travels so that you always remember where you’ve been. Who knows? This might also help you to decide where to go next.

We love tracking our travels. So, it’s time for us to share with you guys the Creative Ways to Track Your Travels!

Push Pin then Scratch Off

Grab a push-pin map as much as possible, making plans is better than nothing at all. Don’t let your dreams fade, don’t let go. Stick it there and pin it!

After push-pin maps, use scratch-off maps too. Hang this on the wall to track and remember all of the places you’ve been. You can scratch off single cities, patches of land, or entire countries. An added bonus with this map: you’ll get inspired to explore new lands and reveal a rainbow of colors.

Be Social Media Savvy

Prepare your hashtags to track your travels on Twitter and Instagram. Yes, use these social media sites for crissake, you won’t be sorry I assure you. Start a fun travel photo with unique poses, landscapes and sceneries. Document them. Spread the word and good vibes of the places. One of the highest hashtagged topics are Feet First, Follow Me To and Kayaking At. Be productive and make it catchy, decide your own thing too! You don’t need to get famous. Remember the sole purpose is to keep track of your travels. It will be a plus point if you’ll inspire more with your own shots.

Journal or Scrapbook

Remember! No travel tracking list would be complete if they didn’t ask you to make a DIY journal or scrapbook. It is not just a girl thing, not only Virginia Woolf has one, remember even Mark Twain has a journal! Going back, please don’t settle with just a mere or normal photo album. Consider new things including flight and train tickets or any kind of flat souvenir you can add on. Lessons learned in the place you visited or the language taught by natives. Everything you can paste or write on a flat surface.

Here’s a sample of a travel journal we gathered for you:

Publish Your Shots

As nice as it is to have a bunch of phone and Instagram photos, there’s still something magical about printed photos. We got to admit some technologies don’t last, like when Friendster suddenly shut down, I lost tons of sentimental pictures there. Flash drives can be corrupted. Don’t get me wrong, I am not dishonoring you with technologies. Yes, technology makes life easier but when it comes to tracking your travel, it’s more legit if it’s printed and physical.

With those printed photos you could be creative by creating your own photo collage map. See this image below as an example:

Or, you can also create your own wall photo map, like making one out of a map stuck or printed on the wall, photos of your adventures and yarn to link your travel destinations to specific locations in the map.

Share this to your grandson and granddaughter when you’re too old for adventure. Tell them stories where and what happened in this souvenir, photo or marking you made. It’s fun to go travelling, but once it’s done, it’s done. Don’t let the memory fade away. Save it!

We hope these Creative Ways to Track Your Travels helped. Enjoy the memories while also keeping track of all the places you’ve been!
