Hong Kongese budget airline HK Express is headquartered in One Citygate, Tung Chung, Lantau, Hong Kong. From their main hub at Hong Kong International Airport and hub at Chek Lap Kok International Airport, HK Express flies to 28 destinations in Asia, including China, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, U.S. Territories, Taiwan, and Thailand.

“Hong Kong’s Low-Fare Airline” is a founding member of U-FLY Alliance, having HNA Group as a parent company. As of March 31, 2017, HK Express operates using a fleet of 14 Airbus A320-200, 3 Airbus A320neo, and 3 Airbus A321-200, by which their goal is to have more than 30 Airbus A320 aircraft by 2018.

Here is what Francis Wong, a flyer from Hong Kong wrote about his experience with HK Express: “Onboard service was on par with any regular airlines. The seating is 3×3 with acceptable seat pitch. No entertainment so bring your own. Food was served immediately after take off. My pre ordered hot meal was delivered with a smile plus a free bottle of water. The quantity is small, but the taste was actually quite good. The pilot was from Australia and the high standard and safety is very reassuring. 2:40 hours passed by quickly and we landed in Chiang Mai perfectly on time.”

HK Express features a purple and bright red colour scheme on their official website. Online, you have the option to pre-book your inflight meal and beverages and save as much as 20% with their special prices. This should be done at least 4 days or 96 hours before the scheduled departure of your flight.

HK Express passengers can purchase hot and cold meals, drinks, and other alcoholic beverages from HK Express’ onboard menu. Special HK Express branded products and anything from cosmetics, watches, jewelries, gadgets, liquor, to tobacco are also offered to them. UExplore Magazine, HK Express’ publication, has fun youth-oriented features on travel, lifestyle, and culture in a Hong Kong tone.

The airline’s fleet of A320s are fitted with a 3×3 all-economy class layout with an average seat pitch of 28 inches.
