Jetcost is like other online travel agencies with which travelers can search and compare for flights, hotels and car rental services. Before we talk about the services and workarounds of Jetcost, let me share a brief history of the company. It was founded in Paris, France in 2006 making it one of the pioneer travel sites in the French market. They began with airfare comparison, but by the end of the year expanded their products with hotels and car hires.
Jetcost had also expanded their networks in Southern European countries, including Spain, Portugal and Italy. This idea sprouted after their significant growth in France. Now, let us check how Jetcost works. In this review, I tried searching for flights from Vancouver, Canada to Amsterdam, Netherlands from February 22 to 26 as 1 Adult flying Economy Class.
I noticed that Jetcost displays how many results are found and results can be filtered by price or duration. Another good side of this site is they display their price list starting from the cheapest which makes it easy for travelers to see the most affordable airfare by their budget. On the left part of the results page, it also promotes some deals for car hire and hotels on the selected destination.
However, the font size of the page is too small and some can be really unreadable. But I saw an option to send this page to someone via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Linkedin, Pinterest and StumbleUpon. Jetcost has another version of their site interchangeable to 40 languages.
Jetcost has a mobile application that customers find more reliable than the page itself. One consumer even said “Best travel and flight reservation app I used”. The Travel app can be changed to 16 languages and shared to emails and social media accounts. It also offers the same services like the PC version. However, the app is only available for Android users.
Jetcost had been generous when it comes to search and compare options. On the bottom part of the main page, it lists the most searched airlines, popular cities and airports. It is also noticeable that the searches are based from other online travel agencies and Jetcost is not responsible for any booking since they are just basically a searching and comparison site for the traveler’s preferred destination.
Based on Jetcost reviews, the travel meta search engine is receiving a lot of praises and recognition from their consumers. According to Trustpilot, Jetcost had an overall score of 8.0 out of 10 by 59 Jetcost reviews by customers. Customers say that Jetcost is convenient, affordable, easy to access and helpful.
However, one recent review caught my attention when he said that Jetcost charged him a high application fee on majority of deals offered and he was even overcharged for more than €45; through these reviews they were still considered scam.

After reading Jetcost reviews, the travel site had really maintained a good figure in the travel industry. Just a little more polish and they are ready to compete with other travel agency giants. However, I would like to advise, that they should at least upgrade the design of their site. It’s pretty outdated. The site’s features works fine, but the physical layout is not enticing enough. That’s the reason why I never noticed them in the first place.
