Mobissimo’s slogan is “We Search. You Travel.” Numerous listings are showing rates that are too good to be true that they are at once considered a scam. Let us look into that matter!
Mobissimo is a travel search engine based at 631 Howard Street, Suite 520, San Francisco, California 94105. Mobissimo was founded in September 2000, however it was launched on January 1, 2004 with seed financing from Benhamou Global Ventures, Cambrian Ventures, and Index Ventures. The founder and the current CEO of Mobissimo, Beatrice Tarka, is an American entrepreneur with 15 years of experience in the travel industry and is a Board Member of Travelzoo.
How does Mobissimo work?
Mobissimo is more about comparing prices and it’s quite confusing how they deliver that information. The bright orange colors might add more confusion to customers. Add to that, a bouncing eyeball is the Mobissimo’s logo but some customers see it differently (as a sperm cell, an olive fruit or an alien head). It also has an email service where the customer can sign-up to receive the latest news and offers. They could just enter their email address and they’ll get subscribed. An option to call them for low fares is shown at the top right of the page.
The features of the website provide some suggestions of places to go with MobiBlog wherein customers are given the overview of where and what might be worth spending for. The blog provides information such as “Where to go in Autumn,” “Cheap domestic flights to San Francisco,” “Top 5 secret beach destinations,” “Best things to do,” and “See in Medellin.” The option to change the website’s language is found at the lowest part of the page.
Mobissimo Reviews of Consumers
It seems like netizens and other prospective customers of Mobissimo are kind of uneasy with the too-good-to-be-true prices they are offering. To be honest, it’s hard to find Mobissimo reviews online because there are only a few ones. We quite expected that after looking on Mobissimo. It might have been some customers didn’t proceed to using the site since it’s quite confusing and complicated. With the minimal Mobissimo reviews shown online, what caught our attention was when this reviewer actually said “ALL of the airfares that were too good to be true…were in fact! They weren’t even available when I tried booking.”

There’s no doubt Mobissimo is considered as a scam. Most of the Mobissimo reviews show that the travel site lacked conviction in providing their cheap fares. What makes it worst is they are not even taking any major action to that concern yet, since the comments keep coming up until now. They should pay more attention on how to acknowledge their customers’ concerns first, maybe if they learn how to listen and accept complaints. Then, they might make a productive development from it.
