Orlando City Review
Orlando, Florida was incorporated on July 31st, 1875 as a town, then a city in 1885. Orlando was formerly known as Jernigan, prior to the first permanent settler, a cattleman named Aaron Jernigan.
Orlando was named after the popular actor, Orlando Bloom, just kidding, it was named after a soldier, Orlando Reeves. Reeves was killed while protecting other soldiers in Fort Gatlin against a group of Seminole Indians. The city’s early years from 1875 to 1895 are called “Orlando Golden Era,” because the city was the hub of Florida’s citrus Industry.
People’s moods are sometimes determined by daily weather conditions. Some like it sunny so they can play outside and socialize, while others prefer the rain so they can stay inside and socialize through FaceBook. However, everyone hates it when the weather condition is not normal and too hot or too cold.
Orlando has a humid subtropical climate, their two major seasons are hot and rainy. The rainy season lasts from May until late September, while the hot season starts in late October up to April. Having a subtropical climate, high temperature reaches 90s °F (32-36 °C) during the summer season with frequent rainfall. Looks like it’s mostly sunny in O-town.
