Thai Airways Reviews
The national airline of Thailand, Thai Airways, traces its roots back to May 1960 with the help of a joint venture with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS). The purpose of the joint venture was to create an air carrier that will also cater international routes. Thai Airways initially started with a fleet of all Douglas DCs.
Charamporn Jotikasthira was appointed as CEO by the Thai BOD (Board Of Directors) effective December 2014. He was the former president and CEO of the Stock Exchange of Thailand and he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and has an MBA from Harvard University, USA.
Thai Airways’ main hub is at Suvarnabhumi Airport which is also known as Bangkok International Airport. It serves as a regional gateway and connecting point for various foreign carriers. Now, the airline has a total fleet size of 82 consisting of Airbus and Boeing. Did you know that, alongside with Lufthansa, Air Canada, SAS, and United Airlines, they founded the world’s largest first airline alliance, Star Alliance?

The Website and Mobile App
The official website is not actually as modernized as other major airlines’ but their flashing image stands out with the famous photography-like shots taken on each cabin class offered on board. Basically, the web page lets travellers search and book for their preferred flight. They can also manage their booking and get the latest news about the airline which includes changes in policies and services.
With the accessibility of smartphones these days, Thai Airways established their own mobile app to expand services wherein customers can check in, check flight status and even alter their flights online. Mobile boarding pass, booking flights, hotel reservation, and car rental services can be done on their travel app. They do promote deals which are located on the main page of the app and help users find great opportunities to explore the world on a budget.
Thai Airways Reviews of Passengers
Most people concur that the ground service is excellent, but seat comfort and value for money is bad. For example, this one guy was complaining that his seat was not clean and it had an awful smell. So they don’t recommend Thai Airways, because for them it’s a lousy experience they’d rather not pass on to others. To see more of the most recent Thai Airways reviews, click here.

They were awarded for having the Best Airline Staff in Asia (2014) by Skytrax. Though, they recently ranked down to 19th in 2015 from the 14th spot in 2014 in the World’s Top 100 Airlines. They maintained to be one of the best airlines in the world by providing exemplary services. Their crew with wide and warm smiles are their lucky charm through everything.
It is not easy to be part of the best, because it requires a lot of responsibilities and proper maintenance. It is harder to commit mistakes because people will easily misunderstand your actions. But, Thai Airways had always been able to keep up a good fight.
